Regular Season Round 12: Stal Ostrow - AZS Kutno 70-77

The most interesting game of round 12 in the 1Liga was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Stal Ostrow (8-4) to second ranked AZS Kutno (9-3) 77-70 in the game for the second place. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 25-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Wojciech Glabas (207-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Lukasz Olejnik (203-79) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Marcin Dymala (185-90) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS Kutno maintains second position with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Slask Wroclaw. Newly promoted Stal Ostrow keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with MKS DG. AZS Kutno are looking forward to face WIKANA Start (#12) in Lublin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stal Ostrow will play on the road against AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
