The game in Mogilev supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Rubon (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Borisfen (1-9). Rubon smashed Borisfen 93-67. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. Borisfen was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon forced 26 Borisfen turnovers and had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Borisfen was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Dmitri Akulich (190-86) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 8 assists. Russian guard Anton Indrikov (193-87) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Akulich is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Evgeny Batvenkov (198-80) came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds and forward Vadzim Haidukevich (193-93) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Borisfen in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rubon. They maintain third place with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Grodno-93. Borisfen lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Rubon will play against Impuls BGUIR (#5) in Minsk in the next round. Borisfen will play on the road against the league's second-placed Sozh Gomel to get more than just one victory in their record.
