There was a minor upset when 8th ranked FCB Regal II (5-5) lost to eleventh ranked Lleida Basquet (4-6) in Barcelona 65-76 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 24-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Lleida Basquet forced 20 FCB Regal II turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Lleida Basquet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. FCB Regal II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for point guard Jose Simeon (187-91) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Forward Sergi Pino (196-87) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. point guard Joan Creus (185-92) replied with 11 points and 8 assists and Croatian swingman Mario Hezonja (202-95) added 17 points and 4 steals in the effort for FCB Regal II. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lleida Basquet moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Lobe Huesca and Planasa NV. Newly promoted FCB Regal II dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Lleida Basquet will face bottom-ranked Ourense (#14) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
