Regular Season Round 13: Evreux - Lille 86-80

Very expected game when 13th ranked Lille Metropole (5-8) lost on the road to third ranked ALM Evreux (10-3) 86-80 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Lille Metropole was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Lille Metropole 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. ALM Evreux looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. point guard Clevin Hannah (180-87, college: Wichita St., agency: Court Side) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. Steve Smith (200-81, college: Iona) answered with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Jason Siggers (188-85, college: Albany) added 20 points in the effort for Lille Metropole. Lille Metropole's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ALM Evreux keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Antibes. Lille Metropole lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with eight games lost. ALM Evreux will face JL Bourg (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lille Metropole will play against Saint Vallier.
