Second ranked Sozh Gomel (8-2) crushed at home 5th ranked Impuls BGUIR (3-7) by 42 points 99-57, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Sozh Gomel. Impuls BGUIR managed to win fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Impuls BGUIR to just 6 points in third quarter. Sozh Gomel dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Impuls BGUIR's 24 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Sozh Gomel will meet at home bottom-ranked Borisfen (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Impuls BGUIR will play against Rubon in Vitebsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
