Regular Season Round 12: Lyon - Toulouse 63-41

The game with biggest result difference took place in Lyon. Local Lyon (8-4) outscored 5th ranked Toulouse (7-5) 63-41 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Lyon. Toulouse managed to win third quarter 11-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lyon forced 20 Toulouse turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Mistie Mims (191-83, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Senegalese forward Mame-Marie Sy-Diop (185-85) who added 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Lyon's coach Laurent Buffard felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Demetress Adams (193-87, college: S.Carolina) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Agathe Degorces (168-92) scored 6 points. Lyon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Perpignan. Newly promoted Toulouse keeps the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Nantes and Landes. Lyon will meet Tarbes (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toulouse will play against Basket Landes (#7) in Mont de Marsan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
