Regular Season Round 18: Shiga L-Stars - Kyoto Hannar. 69-67

The most exciting game of round 18 in the BJ League took place in Shiga. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Kyoto Hannar. (8-9) to seventh ranked Shiga L-Stars (9-8) 69-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-12. But Kyoto Hannar. won second period 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Cameroonian power forward Alfred Aboya (206-85, college: UCLA) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego, agency: Top Notch Sports) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Oita H.Devils. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Shiga L-Stars is again looking forward to face Kyoto Hannar. (#7) at home in the next round. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round.
