A very interesting game took place in Lugo. It ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Leche Rio Breogan (6-4) to eleventh ranked Planasa NV (4-6) 78-76 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Leche Rio Breogan. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Guard Inaki Narros (194-81) fired 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Czech center Ondrej Starosta (215-79) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Dutch power forward Roeland Schaftenaar (211-88, college: Oregon St.) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) added 13 points and 6 steals respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Planasa NV moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Lobe Huesca and Forca Lleida. Leche Rio Breogan at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Planasa NV's next round opponent will be higher ranked Meridiano Alicante (#3) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Leche Rio Breogan will play against Palencia Baloncesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
