Regular Season Round 12: Den Helder K. - Rotterdam 88-70

Date: December 8, 2012
Rather expected game when 10th ranked Rotterdam (1-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Den Helder K. (7-7) 88-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Den Helder K.. Rotterdam managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Storm Warren (200-88, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (198-88, college: Georgia St., agency: Court Side) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Den Helder K.'s coach Jean-Marc Jaumin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Cameron Echols (203-81, college: Ball St., agency: R.H.Consultancy) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized American guard Matthew Otten (196-81, college: San Francisco St., agency: R.H.Consultancy) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Den Helder K. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Leeuwarden and Zwolle. Rotterdam lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with Amsterdam. Den Helder K. will meet Weert (#8) on the road in the next round. Rotterdam will play against Zwolle.
