Ninth-ranked Svit (3-11) gave a tough game to first ranked Komarno (11-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Komarno managed to secure only three-point victory 89-86. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 28-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Svit helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for international swingman Martin Bilik (194-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Amin Stevens (198-90, college: Florida A&M) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. Komarno's coach Frantisek Ron used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Komarno are looking forward to face Inter Bratislava (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
