Important game to mention about took place in Wloclawek. Second ranked AZS Koszalin (8-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Anwil (6-5) 66-64 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Anwil. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Anwil won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Jeff Robinson (198-88, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Robert Skibniewski (183-83) helped adding 15 points. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Anwil's coach Milija Bogicevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS Koszalin have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-3 record having just -1 point less than leader PGE Turow. Anwil at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. AZS Koszalin will play against Siarka Jezioro (#10) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anwil will play at home against Kotwica in Kolobrzeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
