Very predictable result when second ranked AZS Kutno (10-3) smashed at home 12th ranked WIKANA Start (5-8) 89-59. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Kutno. WIKANA Start was better in second period 18-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Kutno dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to WIKANA Start's 32. They outrebounded WIKANA Start 33-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Dawid Brek (185-89, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. point guard Krzysztof Jakobczyk (183-86) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five AZS Kutno players scored in double figures. Power forward Marcel Wilczek (204-86, agency: Promotex) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Tomasz Celej (198-78, agency: Promotex) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for WIKANA Start. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS Kutno maintains second place with 10-3 record having just two points less than leader Slask Wroclaw. WIKANA Start at the other side keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. AZS Kutno's next round opponent will be SKK Siedlce (#13) on the road which should be another easy win for them. WIKANA Start will play against AZS PP in Pozoan.
