An interesting game for Okinawa GK (15-0) which played road game in Fukuoka against 4th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (10-7). Top-ranked Okinawa GK had an easy win 97-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. The game was mostly controlled by Okinawa GK. Fukuoka Rizing managed to win fourth quarter 32-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okinawa GK forced 21 Fukuoka Rizing turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American swingman Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) notched 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 5 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) did not help to save the game for Fukuoka Rizing. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) added 21 points and 9 rebounds. Okinawa GK have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-0 record. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Okinawa GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukuoka Rizing will play again against the league's leader Okinawa GK (#1) and hope to secure a win.
