Regular Season Round 9: Rivas Ecopolis - Bembibre 63-42

LFB top team - Rivas Ecopolis (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Socinsa Bembibre (1-7) 63-42. The game was mostly controlled by Rivas Ecopolis. Socinsa Bembibre managed to win fourth quarter 12-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Socinsa Bembibre to just 4 points in third quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by Socinsa Bembibre helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international center Laura Nicholls (189-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led her team to a victory with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Socinsa Bembibre will play at home against Caja Rural (#4) in Zamora and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
