Very predictable result when fourth ranked ZKK Medvescak (7-2) won against 9th ranked Ragusa (2-7) in Dubrovnik 69-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ZKK Medvescak. Ragusa managed to win third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ragusa to just 5 points in fourth quarter. ZKK Medvescak dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ragusa's 30. Center Ana-Marija Begic (190-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Anja Majstorovic (184-94) accounted for 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four ZKK Medvescak players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Ivona Matic (188-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Andrea Malada (178-92) added 13 points respectively for Ragusa in the defeat. Ragusa's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for ZKK Medvescak. They maintain fourth place with 7-2 record. Ragusa lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. ZKK Medvescak's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb ZKK Agram.
