There was no surprise in Quaregnon where 6th ranked Antwerp Giants (3-5) were defeated by fourth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (5-3) 66-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Belfius Mons-Hainaut led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Guy Muya (190-83, agency: TSS Management) who added 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. The former international guard Roel Moors (190-78) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Gregg Thondique (201-87, college: Virginia Union, agency: FCM) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to second place, which they share with Spirou. Loser Antwerp Giants keep the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Leuven. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will meet Leuven Bears (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Antwerp Giants will play against the league's leader Okapi Aalstar and hope to secure a win.
