Regular Season Round 19: Shiga L-Stars - Kyoto Hannar. 70-73

Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Seventh ranked Kyoto Hannar. (9-9) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars (9-9) 73-70 in the fight for the fifth place. It looked good early as Shiga L-Stars took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kyoto Hannar. had a 26-16 second period charge getting the lead and Shiga L-Stars were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-73. Kyoto Hannar. made 24-of-27 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah, agency: Top Notch Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) responded with 17 points and guard Shinya Ogawa (183-83) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Kyoto Hannar. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Oita H.Devils and Shiga L-Stars. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shiga L-Stars will play again on the road against Kyoto Hannar. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
