Regular Season Round 15: Tromso - Ammerud Bskt 96-64

Leader Tromso delivered the twelfth victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Ammerud Bskt (2-11) 96-64. The game without a history. Tromso led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ammerud Bskt's 42. Tromso players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Ammerud Bskt's players. It was a good game for American forward Jonathan Jones (196-88, college: Kean) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Hani Issalhi (187-84) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Ronald Timus (197-84, college: Morgan St.) answered with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Swedish forward Daniel Bwomono (197-77) added 10 points in the effort for Ammerud Bskt. Tromso (12-2) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Ammerud Bskt lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Tromso will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ammerud Bskt will play at home against Baerum Basket (#3) in Bekkestua and hopes to get back on the winning track.
