Very important is a home loss of third ranked Shimane Magic (11-7) against tenth ranked Osaka Evessa (2-12) on Sunday night. Host Shimane Magic was defeated by Osaka Evessa in a tough game in Shimane 70-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. The game without a history. Osaka Evessa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Center Darnell Cox (211-85, college: Miss.Valley St., agency: Court Side) accounted for 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) came up with 25 points and 9 rebounds and center Jeral Davis (216-84) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Shimane Magic in the defeat. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Saitama Bron. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Fukuoka Rizing. Osaka Evessa will meet league's second-placed Hamamatsu Phoenix in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shimane Magic will play against the league's leader Okinawa GK having rather not much hope for a victory.
