Regular Season Round 10: Toyota Alvark - Panasonic T. 88-57

An interesting game for Toyota Alvark (18-2) which hosted in Fuchu 3rd ranked Panasonic Trians (11-9). First ranked Toyota Alvark had an easy win 88-57. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota Alvark. Panasonic Trians managed to win second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds. International forward Sean Hinkley (199-91) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. Swedish Christian Maraker (206-82, college: Pacific) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Panasonic Trians. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-2 record. Panasonic Trians lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with nine games lost. Toyota Alvark are looking forward to face league's second-placed Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Panasonic Trians will play at home against Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
