Rather expected game when 13th ranked Latina Basket (4-9) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Chieti (6-7) 88-71 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-71. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 21 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Simone Gatti (202-82) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Chieti players scored in double figures. Naturalized Serbian forward Marko Micevic (198-89) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Filippo Gagliardo (206-78) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Chieti moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Omegna. Loser Latina Basket dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Chieti will face higher ranked Firenze (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Latina Basket will play against Mirandola (#18).
