Regular Season Round 11: Eskilstuna - Brahe Basket 77-64

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Brahe Basket (7-4) against seventh ranked Eskilstuna (6-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Brahe Basket was defeated by Eskilstuna in Eskilstuna 77-64. The game was mostly controlled by Eskilstuna. Brahe Basket was better in third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for guard Pontus Oksman (185-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!). Forward Daniel Urban (198-88) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Tanju Yulman (186-90) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Plaisir Mukoko (190-91) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Brahe Basket players scored in double figures. Brahe Basket's coach Demetrius Poles rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eskilstuna moved-up to sixth place in South. Brahe Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Haga Haninge. Eskilstuna will play against higher ranked Haga Haninge (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brahe Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Huskvarna to the arena Sanda Basket.
