Regular Season Round 9: AGOR - Olympiacos 64-78

A1 top team - Olympiacos (9-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked AGOR (5-4) in Rethymno 78-64. It looked good early as AGOR took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Olympiacos had a 22-11 second period charge getting the lead and AGOR was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-78. Olympiacos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to AGOR's 30. The former international forward Georgios Printezis (206-85, agency: FCM) nailed 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Kyle Hines (198-86) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Brent Petway (204-85, college: Michigan) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Marc Antonio Carter (191-85, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for AGOR in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. AGOR at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Ikaros and Apollon Patras. Olympiacos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Ilysiakos.
