Regular Season Round 13: Eclex Tallinn - TTT Riga 75-69

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Eclex Tallinn as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Eclex Tallinn defeated 3rd placed TTT Riga at home 75-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TTT Riga. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TTT Riga won third quarter 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TTT Riga 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by TTT Riga helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Estonian forward Viive Kai Rebane (182-89, college: Binghamton) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Estonian guard Mirjam Nikolai (177-86) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. International swingman Ieva Krastina (174-90, agency: LBM Management) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Dita Rozenberga (181-92) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four TTT Riga players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion TTT Riga keeps the third place with two games lost. TTT Riga will play next round against Kolibri/U-16 trying to get back on the winning streak. Eclex Tallinn will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
