Regular Season Round 12: Nantes - Arras 68-57

Very expected game when 13th ranked Arras (2-10) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Nantes Reze (7-5) 68-57 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Nantes Reze dominated on the defensive end, holding Arras to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Arras 40-22 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Sarah Michel (180-89) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Marielle Amant (190-89) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Nantes Reze's coach Emmanuel Coeuret used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international center Sandra Dijon (193-79) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Dawn Evans (170-89, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points. Nantes Reze moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toulouse and Landes. Arras lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Nantes Reze will meet Charleville-Mezieres (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Arras will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
