Not a big story in a game in Badalona where 12th ranked FIATC Joventut (5-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Regal FC Barcelona (7-4) 78-63. The game was mostly controlled by Regal FC Barcelona. FIATC Joventut was better in second period 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding FIATC Joventut to just 2 points in third quarter. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) who led the winners and scored 12 points and 5 assists. American-DR Congolese power forward Judson Wallace (205-82, college: Princeton) accounted for 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American-Georgian point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova) came up with 15 points and Bosnian center Ognjen Kuzmic (215-90) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for FIATC Joventut in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with CAI Zaragoza. FIATC Joventut at the other side keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Regal FC Barcelona's next round opponent will be higher ranked G.Canaria 2014 (#4) in Las Palmas and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FIATC Joventut will play on the road against the league's second-placed Valencia Basket (#2).
