There was no surprise in Harbin where 12th ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (3-11) was defeated by seventh ranked Liaoning Hengye (8-6) 91-82. Heilongjiang Chenneng was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 51-40 second half run of Liaoning Hengye. They shot 60.3 percent from the field. Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Xiaoli Chen (193-82) supported her with 25 points and 4 assists.
