The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Grindavik's (4-10) road loss to fifth ranked Haukar (6-8) 64-73 on Wednesday. Grindavik trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 19-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-73 at the end of the game. Grindavik's coach Johann Olafsson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Haukar maintains fifth position with 6-8 record. Newly promoted Grindavik keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Haukar will meet league's leader Keflavik on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Grindavik will play against KR (#3) in Reykjavik and hope to secure a win.
