Regular Season Round 10: Elizur Ashkelon - Bnei Hasharon 94-70
Date: December 13, 2012
Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Ironi Ashkelon (4-6) rolled over at home 10th ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-6) 94-70 on Thursday. The game without a history. Ironi Ashkelon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Gur Porat (197-79) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Jumaine Jones (203-79, college: Georgia) replied with 4 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Mexican swingman Romel Beck (201-82, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ironi Ashkelon have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Ironi Ashkelon went down to eighth position due to points difference, which they share with defeated Bnei Hasharon. Ironi Ashkelon will face Galil Gilboa (#11) in Rosh Pina in the next round.
