Second Stage Round 11: GECR Indalo - Lanus 72-81

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked GECR Indalo (9-15) lost to second ranked Lanus (17-6) in Comodoro R. 72-81 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-72. American center Robert Battle (204-81, college: Drexel, agency: Dream Team Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Italian swingman Adrian Boccia (195-82) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Kahiem Seawright (203-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Edge Sports) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Jason Robinson (196-80, college: Pikeville) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for GECR Indalo. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lanus keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Regatas C. GECR Indalo lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Lanus will have a break next round. GECR Indalo will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Lanus (#2) in Buenos Aires.
