Very expected game when 7th ranked Beijing Great Wall (7-8) lost to second ranked Zhejiang Far East (11-4) in Hangzhou 75-87 on Saturday. Zhejiang Far East made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Lan Bian (185-86) accounted for 25 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Sophia Young (186-83, college: Baylor) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Fan Zhang (188-84) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Beijing Great Wall in the defeat. Four Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Far East have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record behind leader Shanxi. Loser Beijing Great Wall keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Yunnan. Zhejiang Far East will meet Bayi Kylin (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beijing Great Wall will play against Heilongjiang Chenneng in Harbin and hope to secure a win.
