Regular Season Round 15: Shanxi - Guangdong 89-78

WCBA top team - Shanxi (12-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Guangdong Dolphins (5-10) in Taiyuan 89-78. It was a great evening for Spanish Maya Moore (183-89, college: Connecticut) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. Power forward XueYa Ma (190-93) helped adding 15 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The best for the losing side was American Tamika Catchings (186-79, college: Tennessee) with 26 points and 8 rebounds and international center Hongpin Huang (196-89) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted Shanxi maintains first place with 12-3 record. Guangdong Dolphins at the other side keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Shanxi will play against Qujing Yunnan (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Guangdong Dolphins will play against Henan Elephants in Jiyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
