Very expected game in Mikawa where 9th ranked Osaka Evessa (2-13) was defeated by second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (14-7) 82-69 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Hamamatsu Phoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern, agency: Top Notch Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: Top Notch Sports) who added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and swingman Taizon Kawabe (190-82) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hamamatsu Phoenix have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-7 record having just -4 point less than leader Okinawa GK. Loser Osaka Evessa dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will face again Osaka Evessa (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
