Regular Season Round 11: Boulazac - Gravelines 80-92

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (7-4) beat on the road 10th ranked Boulazac Basket (4-7) 92-80. The game was mostly controlled by Gravelines-Dunkerque. Boulazac Basket was better in fourth quarter 26-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gravelines-Dunkerque made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Boulazac Basket turnovers. Gravelines-Dunkerque players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American point guard Dwight Buycks (190-89, college: Marquette) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international Yannick Bokolo (188-85) contributed with 13 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) answered with 17 points and the other American import guard Darnell Harris (181-86, college: La Salle) added 8 points and 5 assists in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Boulazac Basket's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gravelines-Dunkerque keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket dropped to the fourteenth place with seven games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque's next round opponent will be Chorale de Roanne (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Boulazac Basket will play against Strasbourg IG (#5).
