Bottom-ranked Sanda Basket (0-12) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fourth ranked Brahe Basket (8-4) 88-54. The game was mostly controlled by Brahe Basket. Sanda Basket was better in second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brahe Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sanda Basket's 22. They outrebounded Sanda Basket 56-28 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Matthew Cavalieri (198-89, college: Springfield) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. point guard Jonatan Kebedom (175-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Cavalieri is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Alexander Russom (191-95) replied with 16 points and center Jacob Enarsson (202-93) added 11 points in the effort for Sanda Basket. Brahe Basket moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Malbas and Haga Haninge. Sanda Basket at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Brahe Basket's next round opponent will be Helsingborg (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Sanda Basket will play against Boras II and hopes to get finally their first victory.
