Leader Komarno delivered the twelfth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Inter Bratislava (6-8) 89-71. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 54-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Komarno outrebounded Inter Bratislava 35-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and the other American import forward Kevin Thompson (205-89, college: Morgan St.) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Komarno players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) responded with 35 points (!!!) and American guard Justin Graham (193-88, college: San Jose St.) scored 15 points. Komarno (12-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Inter Bratislava lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost. Komarno will meet at home Handlova (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Inter Bratislava will play against Nova Ves and hope to secure a win.
