Regular Season Round 11: Kings - Hawks 70-63

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Wollongong Hawks (8-4) against fourth ranked Kings (9-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Wollongong Hawks were defeated by Kings in a tough game in Sydney 63-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Kings made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Ian Crosswhite (210-82, college: Oregon) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Darnell Lazare (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Oscar Forman (205-82) came up with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Rhys Martin (193-86, college: Nova SE) added 16 points respectively for Wollongong Hawks in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kings have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Wollongong Hawks dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Wildcats. Kings will meet at home Perth Wildcats (#4) in the next round. Wollongong Hawks will play against Melbourne Tigers and hope to secure a win.
