Very important is a road loss of second ranked AZS Koszalin (8-4) against tenth ranked Siarka Jezioro (4-8) on Saturday night. Visiting AZS Koszalin was defeated by Siarka Jezioro in a tough game in Tarnobrzeg 68-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of AZS Koszalin. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 14-9. But AZS Koszalin won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Siarka Jezioro won last quarter 26-18. Siarka Jezioro shot 22 for 30 from the free-throw line, while AZS Koszalin only scored five points from the stripe. AZS Koszalin was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Jakub Dloniak (192-83, agency: Promotex) who scored that evening 23 points and 6 rebounds and American guard J.T. Tiller (191-88, college: Missouri, agency: Limelight Hoops) supported him with 18 points and 4 assists. Siarka Jezioro will play against Kotwica (#10) in Kolobrzeg in the next round. AZS Koszalin will play on the road against Asseco Prok. (#6) in Gdynia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
