WCBA round 15 most important game was a victory of Jiangsu Phoenix over 5th ranked Liaoning Hengye 84-81 on Saturday night. Jiangsu Phoenix shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a good game for international point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) who led her team to a victory with 24 points. International center Xu Nuo (197-87) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Jiangsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 26 rebounds and the former international forward Xiaoli Chen (193-82) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Liaoning Hengye. Jiangsu Phoenix have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 9-6 record. Liaoning Hengye at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Shanghai. Jiangsu Phoenix are looking forward to face higher ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (#3) in Dandong in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Liaoning Hengye will play at home against Shanghai Octopus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
