Regular Season Round 20: Toyama Grouses - Saitama Bron. 94-86

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Toyama Grouses (13-8) beat at home 10th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-13) 94-86 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Saitama Broncos won third quarter 32-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 44-29 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saitama Broncos were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican power forward Angel Garcia (209-88, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Jeremy Jacob (203-87, college: Oregon) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Randall Orr (207-82, college: Georgia Perimeter) responded with 16 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Dameion Baker (192-78, college: Mount Olive) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five Toyama Grouses and four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Toyama Grouses moved-up to second place. Saitama Broncos lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Toyama Grouses will face again Saitama Broncos (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
