Regular Season Round 14: Amicale - T71 101-89

Very expected game in Steinsel where 7th ranked T71 (6-8) was defeated by third ranked Amicale (10-4) 101-89 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 12 points. Amicale made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Amicale especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import forward Lee Fisher (195-89, college: Chicago St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) produced 28 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and American forward Ryan Sharry (203-89, college: Middlebury, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 19 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Amicale and five T71 players scored in double figures. Amicale moved-up to second place, which they share with Etzella. Loser T71 dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Contern. Amicale will meet at home Contern (#6) in the next round. T71 will play against Residence in Bereldange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
