Regular Season Round 21: Shinshu BW - Akita NH 83-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Akita Happinets' (11-7) road loss to fifth ranked Shinshu BW (13-7) 72-83 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Akita Happinets was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Akita Happinets 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St., agency: Top Notch Sports) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Daniel Fitzgerald (206-84, college: Marquette) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Shinshu BW moved-up to third place, which they share with Shimane SM and Fukuoka Rizing. Akita Happinets at the other side keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Akita Happinets will play at home against Saitama Broncos (#11).
