We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Ura Basket (2-10) beat 8th ranked Pyrinto II (4-9) in Tampere 96-87 on Sunday. Pyrinto II trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 23-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 87-96 at the end of the game. Ura Basket forced 20 Pyrinto II turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Ura Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import guard Nolan Richardson (188-84, college: Midwestern St.) contributed with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Ura Basket's coach Lars Ekstrom used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Osku Heinonen (194-92) replied with 23 points and forward Miikka Marttinen (196-92) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto II. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ura Basket maintains ninth position in Division with 2-10 record. Loser Pyrinto II keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Ura Basket will face higher ranked BC Nokia (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
