Regular Season Round 15: Ferrara - Agrigento 76-65

An interesting game took place in Ferrara, where 4th placed Agrigento (9-6) lost to twelfth ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (6-8) in a road game 65-76 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Agrigento. Agrigento was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Naturhouse Ferrara made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Agrigento turnovers. Agrigento was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) chipped in 19 points. Four Naturhouse Ferrara players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Vincenzo Di Viccaro (191-84) who recorded 18 points and point guard Daniele Demartini (187-84, agency: Players Group) added 13 points respectively. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naturhouse Ferrara moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Casalpusterlengo. Agrigento at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara will face league's leader Torino on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agrigento will play against Treviglio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
