We should mention about the upset which took place in Tarbes, where 4th placed Lyon (8-5) lost to eleventh ranked Tarbes (6-7) in a road game 52-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lyon. Tarbes made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Serbian forward Jovana Rad (187-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and international guard Paoline Salagnac (176-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Mistie Mims (191-83, college: Duke) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Danielle Page (188-86, college: Nebraska) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Lyon in the defeat. Lyon's coach Laurent Buffard rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tarbes moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Charleville and Mondeville. Lyon at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Tarbes' next round opponent will be higher ranked Basket Landes (#5) in Mont de Marsan and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lyon will play on the road against Arras.
