The most exciting game of round 10 in the A1 took place in Chieti. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked CA Romagna (3-7) to eighth ranked C.U.S. Chieti (3-6) 55-54 in the game for the seventh place. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But CA Romagna won second period 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Puerto Rican Jazmine Sepulveda (178-85, college: S.Florida, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian center Jefimija Karakasevic (191-89) contributed with 8 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kristen McCarthy (182-90, college: Temple) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Kathrin Ress (196-85, college: Boston Coll.) added 11 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for CA Romagna. C.U.S. Chieti moved-up to seventh place. CA Romagna at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. C.U.S. Chieti are looking forward to face higher ranked Orvieto (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CA Romagna will have a break next round.
