The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Toyama Grouses as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Toyama Grouses smashed 11th ranked Saitama Broncos at home 106-79. Toyama Grouses dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 56.
