The game in Anshan was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Shanghai Octopus (8-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Liaoning Hengye (9-7). Liaoning Hengye managed to secure a 6-point victory 87-81 on Tuesday. Shanghai Octopus trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 33-28 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-87 at the end of the game. Liaoning Hengye dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Shanghai Octopus' 40. The former international forward Xiaoli Chen (193-82) fired 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. International forward Zengyu Ma (183-84) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Camille Little (188-85, college: N.Carolina) produced 29 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eleven free throws !!!) and point guard Xiufeng Shi (178-87) added 29 points respectively for lost side. Liaoning Hengye moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Jiangsu. Loser Shanghai Octopus dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Beijing. Liaoning Hengye will meet at home league's leader Shanxi in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Shanghai Octopus will play against Shenyang Golden Lions (#3) in Dandong and hope to secure a win.
