Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Beijing Great Wall (8-8) smashed at home bottom-ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (3-13) 104-70. The game without a history. Beijing Great Wall led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Heilongjiang Chenneng's 46. Quite impressive performance for American forward Sophia Young (186-83, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Honghua Zhou (174-84) contributed with 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Guard Yihong Ma (185-81) replied with 14 points and 4 assists (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and Nigerian-American center Abi Olajuwon (193-88, college: Oklahoma) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Heilongjiang Chenneng. Beijing Great Wall moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shanghai. Heilongjiang Chenneng lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Beijing Great Wall's next round opponent will be Bayi Kylin (#9) in Yinzhou. Heilongjiang Chenneng will play at home against Jiangsu Phoenix in Yixing.
