Undefeated leader Olimpia GrGAU delivered the seventh consecutive win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-9) 100-54 in Brest. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpia GrGAU. BrGU COR Victoria managed to win fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olimpia GrGAU forced 23 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 40-23 including 30 on the defensive glass. Maryia Papova (186-94) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Russian-Ukrainian center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Guard Ekaterina Shestilovskaya (180-93) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and forward Veranika Adamik (181-90) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. BrGU COR Victoria's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Olimpia GrGAU (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Olimpia GrGAU are looking forward to face Sozh Gomel (#5) at home in the next round. BrGU COR Victoria will play against Gorizont in Minsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
